BOOK REVIEW
Math Doesn't Suck: How to Survive Middle School Math Without Losing Your Mind or Breaking a Nail (2008) by Danica McKellar

This is a great book for someone who needs a little help and boost of math confidence. Using a bit of humor, Ms. McKeller has the ability to make math fun, interesting, and easy to learn, so the student can develop an interest and capability that he or she may never have found. She also has tremendous empathy for those who dread math.

Although her books are geared for girls and women, I would highly recommend this book to any student, male or female, who is having difficulty with math. This is an easy to understand math book covering such topics as: factors & multiples; fractions; decimals; percentages; word problems and basic pre-algebraic concepts and drills. There are also easy to remember fun tips and real world examples.

Ms. Mckeller also is the author of Kiss My Math: Showing Pre-Algebra Who's Boss (2009) and Hot X: Algebra Exposed (2010)
